Kristen and Amit are getting married this summer in trendy South Beach in Miami, Florida. Like many of our clients, their wedding will be an amazing destination wedding here in Florida. For their engagement photos, Jared and I met up with them in Washington, DC, where they live and work. We had a blast touring the National Mall and neighboring Georgetown and we can’t wait for their wedding!

We love this couple! Andrew and Rebekah are funny, down-to-earth, kind people and they are each other’s perfect match. When Rebekah explained that Andrew and her had struck up their first real conversation on a canoeing trip, I knew her idea to take photos on a lake and in a canoe was perfect. I myself can pinpoint the time and place Jared and I started to fall for each other at a fair in Dade County, which was why we decided to have our own photos done at a carnival. If you are thinking about getting engagement photos done, or if you’re married and would like a couple’s session, incorporating a theme or location where you two fell in love is a great idea! This makes a great anniversary shoot, too!

Rebekah and Andrew met us at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for their session. We had a blast and we are so excited for their wedding in April!

We were so happy to be a part of Jessica and Jason’s beautiful wedding day. You might remember them from their lovely engagement session at Vizcaya. I love the details Jessica and her family put together- everything had a charming, handmade touch- the colorful and rustic bouquets, the adorable vintage veiled hats for each bridesmaid (Jessica made them herself!), the eclectic mix of suitcases, lace and burlap for the centerpieces- it all came together and turned out to be a beautiful event. Jessica even made the groom’s cake, which she kept as a surprise for Jason!

Jessica and Jason got ready at their homes and were married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. They threw their amazing reception at Old Davie School.

Jackie & Pablo (affectionately known to his friends as “Tiny”) were married on a beautiful January Saturday in Delray Beach, Florida. You might remember them from their engagement session at Tree Tops park last November. They celebrated with all their friends and family at a place that we absolutely love to shoot at- Old School Square. That’s because Jared and I were married there ourselves two years ago! The vintage gymnasium was a perfect setting for this couple- combining Jackie’s studiousness with Tiny’s love for sports, they had a fun dessert reception complete with ice cream, cake and cupcakes, assorted pastries- you name it. Before the ceremony at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, they shared an intimate first look and then we headed over to a basketball court nearby for some fun shots of them with their bridal party, donning their matching red Converse sneakers.

This sweet couple has got to have one of the best stories I’ve heard in a long time. As David related to Jared, he and Elizabeth met at school, in a science lab. Neither had a lab partner, and so they were paired up. Their friendship was thus formed, and grew. After school they kept in touch, and eventually, friendship turned to romance and a deep love for each other. They are a perfect match- they are sensitive, quiet, and loving people that truly care for one another and everyone around them. It was a pleasure to capture their wedding day and we loved meeting such a wonderful couple, beautiful both inside and out.

David and Elizabeth married at The Addison, exchanging personal vows in the courtyard under the big, beautiful banyan trees. They celebrated with their friends and family in the main dining room. Earlier that day they had a private first look at the Renaissance Marriott Hotel, where Elizabeth got ready with her mom and bridesmaids.

This is my friend Bianca and I, circa 2000-something (the one on the left that desperately needs a trim is me).

We grew up together. Sleep overs, teenage garage band, first-time concert buddies (I believe it was Ringo Starr, and it was with my parents). I am so honored and happy to have captured her wedding. She married another buddy of ours, Devin. To say the least, they are made for each other. This fact is evident to anyone around them when they’re together. I wish you guys the happiest marriage and most adventurous and beautiful life together.

Bianca and the girls got ready at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. It was a perfect day.

Jessica and Jason are getting married! He proposed at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, which is a must-see in the Miami area. They thought it appropriate to have their engagement photos taken there, and since their upcoming wedding will be of the old-school variety at Old Davie Schoolhouse, they wanted a vintage feel to their session. We could not have asked for nicer weather- well, photographically speaking. The overcast skies and cool breezes gave us the perfect afternoon to spend photographing two beautiful people very much in love, and at a gorgeous location. Congrats, Jessica and Jason! Can’t wait for your wedding!
